Ok, Sendo is not Nokia

Well, I can't believe what's happening with Sendo X...

Sendo releases a plenty-of-bugs (not even beta) version of the phone (let's hope this is just a software problem, and hardware is ok) then people gets mad with it everywhere and they promise: NEW FIRMWARE WILL FIX THE PROBLEMS!

However, the actual situation (of course it differs from what Sendo pretended): New Firmware just fixes some reception problems and even adds some other bugs...

WHAT A SHAME!!!

I'm really sorry for all of you guys (Speedman, etc) who really believe in this phone, cuz it's obvious that Sendo is cheating you... in the next firmware release you'll get some minor bugs fixed, but you'll never have a "good Symbian phone" as stated in Sendo's ads.

The behaviour of plinkykev gives you a clear example of this swindle, he will never tell you what will be fixed on a next release, or release a bugfix list or anything else. He just surfs the web working for Sendo to cool down all of you guys that can get really mad with the phone!!

Don't even think of the new firmware!! Maybe there are just two employees doing the best they can to improve a shitty phone they released!!

JUST THINK ABOUT PEOPLE WHO PAYED 500€ for a phone that doesn't even call!!!

If plinkykev knew that information I'm sure he would be happy to tell us. And I'm sure he would be even happier if Sendo paid him to post on AAS!

Are you jarex or his twin brother? Or did the AAS moderators ban your old id, so you had to come up with a new one? And still only entering posts as a guest, so no-one can track you... cool...

What phone(s) do you have then? Are they all bug free? Is the PC/Mac you use bug free? No, as nothing is.

You(pk) are the one and only "fast" contact with Sendo.
I think the same as you pk.

I understand the complexity of such a phone and I need all the features it has...there´s no option out there for other phone.

And... we must fix a lot of things every day (the humor for example )

You need to stay kev, I think the majority of people hear realise that your input and having a contact within sendo is a great help.

yes I had problems before the release,

yes I still have most of those problems, and a few more,

yes I do think that these will be resolved, hopefully in the next firmware, if they are not then I am afraid that my sendo will have to go back (bought in the uk from pixmania.co.uk and covered under uk consumer law which means that I can send it back for a full refund if it does not do what it is supposed to do, and in my case it does not i.e. work as a phone).


As I said in a previous post to you kev, I think it would be a good peice of pr if you could post an official bug fix list from sendo, and also address some of the problems that are listed in speedmans bug list.

keeping people in the dark is the worst thing that a company can do, it just generates bad feelings and thats when the bad roumour mill starts



I also think that it is imperative that sendo sets up a forum like this one on their own website, I suggest looking at www.showshifter.com, through their forum they are in constant contact with their customers, and its those customers who actually know the product and what they want from it, and showshifter are always listening to and implementing their customers needs, and constantly working on bugfixes and letting the forum know of progress.


Dont forget having a great product is no good without good pr and communication with your customers.

We can argue about this with 10000 threads, but all I got to say.
What problem, I haven't have one problem yet!!!
But since you did mentioned about Nokia, well in my opinion Nokia sucks.

Talking from Experience, every Nokia Phone I had from Nokia went dead in one
way or in another. From Battier- Hardware and to Software.

Like I can say I haven't had one problem besides form the fact that SMS and MMS
are to expensive here in Europe. But shouldn't you be used to Bugs if you are running Windows lol.

Ok, I don't have a Sendo X, and never had tried one, but I'm very interested in this phone.

However, I think this guy (man on the moon, he doesn't even know how to write it) has a part of reason. I really understand that someone can be VERY angry with Sendo, if you're been unlucky and you've had a lots of bugs.

And about plynkikev, PLEASE STAY SO WE CAN IMPROVE SENDO X!!! However, and please don't get angry with me, I think that your reaction is (in part) giving this guy a part of reason!!!You can't menace us with going away and never post again. You need us, and we need you!!! It's a cycle!! Or is going Sendo to avoid such a good source of beta-testers??

There are about teen peoples or more which are interested in improving the Sendo X. One guy isn't interested in this.

So, I would say we will going on!

This is chance to create a product like user want - and not like a nokia or siemens chief designer have it in his vision.

And in the last resort, if sendo falls, it was still beautiful to work together with a lot of people, unconcerned from where they are.

Don't worry, because of few destructiv guys!

I agree, please stay PK you are providing a valuable resource to us and i agree no product is entirely bug free. All in all i have had a great experience with my Sendo X and rate it very highly.

i showed my phone to my friends and they were truly amazed by the possibilities of it.

this guy walks up to me and starts laughing, saying his K700i is better. I asked him: how much space do you have on your phone?
He goes, boastingly: '42 megs, AND YOU ? '

i go : 'Oh, i have a mem card of 512 mb, and a very fast one. I'm actually thinking about buying a 1 GIG card.'

He looks sad and wonders off.

the only phone to come even CLOSE to the X is the nokia 7610. But it doesn't have flash 1st of all, 2nd, the keyboard must be very frustrating to use, 3rd it doesn't accept mmc/sd cards.

All i can say is: it rules, but it can be even more 'rulinger'
just patch the sound and the little irritating things and we will conquer all.

It would be nice for a second X, probably the Y (lol) to use the comments of the users of what to implement for a future phone release.
And let the people that showed a real help and support on these forums and all symbian sendo X forums use the beta versions of these models so we can make nokia cry.
