UK release (allegedly)

I've been following talk on this board closely for a while, but waiting to get an X on a proper UK contract, with bug fixed firmware (like a few other people I suspect).

So I finally cut to the chase, and phoned Sendo HQ and spoke to someone authorised to say what's happening.

Phones have gone to distribution, are with the operator (they're not saying which one), and the operator is due to release them by the end of this month - I confirmed that meant them being physically on sale in the operator's UK shops, on a proper UK contract.
I'm guessing they will have the latest bug fixed firmware loaded (common sense I would have thought).

If there are any delays it will be (as I understand it) the operator, not Sendo (makes a nice change! ;-) ). So lets see if they stick to this one!

Here's hoping it's not with my current operator Virgin, cos they're all-round crap and extremely expensive....

I'm thinking vodafone, seen as though Sendo sued Orange/Microsoft over the Z100

This is quite old news...the phones went out to UK operators in July!

I *think* it's Voda, although T-Mob and O2 have to be good options as well. Orange is a little more unlikely as they're historically more a Windows rather than Symbian operator, although they could take it. I don't think the court case will have any influence now, that's water under the bridge.

Basically, the UK operator(s) have been waiting for this latest firmware release, so you should now see some things happening

Indeed, some old some new! The important point being there is finally a specific UK operator release date, something there most definitely was not before (unless of course you happen to have an inside line to the operator in question!)

And as for the old news, it was very badly reported old news, considering the amount of people on forums, and even working for mobile mags, who did not know this!
