'Series 60 ProductID has not been installed' - on Sendo X !??

When trying to install some S60 applications through Sendo PC Connect
I get this error message :

" missing dependency - 'Series 60 ProductID has not been installed'

Please install 'Series 60 ProductID' and try again"


Anybody experienced the same??? What is this dependency?
It prevents the Sendo X from running some S60 apps...
(E.g. Rockit Pinball)

Gonna try to investigate further, but please help with inputs..

Try installing Rockit Pinball from Rocekt Science, and you will get
this problem.. There were some other apps also, will find them..

I tried to search for this on Google, and I think this dependency is something that shall be installed in the symbian devices to ensure platform compatibility between the different Symbain devices.. And seems like it is NOT installed in the Sendo X...

I thought this Series60 Product ID was a Symbian 7 thing (as in Series 60 v2). As the Sendo doesn't use Symbian 7 it can't be installed.

I note that Rocket Pinball is listed as only compatible with the Nokia 6600 - by not listing support for the 3650 and 7650 it would appear to be reliant upon either Series60 v2 or Symbian 7 - in either case it will not work on the Sendo X, and the installer is correctly looking for something that is not there, and stopping.

Hi All,

The Sendo X does have the ID files for the 1.2 version of Series60 (and older), but not the ones for 2.0 (6600/7610) as it is a different operating system.

This program (which was REALLY hard to find by the way) seems to be designed for the 6600, as it would not install on my 3650, SendoX or SX1.

If there is a 7650/3650/SX1 version available, give me a link (via PM) for it.

Now I get the same error message when trying to install Quick Office Premier..

Is this because the Sendo X is not Symbian 7 ???

This is really starting to annoy me now - also there are so many
other symbian applications that won't run on my Sendo X that
ran just fine on my 3660 and my 6600..

The reason for buying this Sendo X was becasue of the slik features and
design combined with the accessibility to the huge amount of 3'rd pary
symbian developed software... Well, the only thing I seem to be left with
is a cool desgined symbian phone, which won't run symbian applications..

You need the version that ran fine on the 3660 - anything specifically designed for a 6600 may not work, whereas things designed for the 3650/7650/N-Gage/SX1 have a good chance of working.

Yesterday I tried to install themes from this site :

( please notice that's themes for Sendo X ) but I always got the error Message : "Series 60 ProductID has not been installed"

Pleasw tell me what should I do ? Anyone know any sites which have themes for Sendo please tell me >__<

For themes for the Sendo X, you need to look at www.sendosmartphones.com - that is the ONLY site to have themes which work on the Sendo X.
