Hi guy i need some help.
when i try to send a *.mid via mutimedia a warning sign pop up and it say (Protected items cannot be send .Send unprotected?)is it all midi file cant be send by this phone(7610).Cos 6230 dont have this problem. :con?

this is easy to get around...get file explorer ( any version..its freeware) and do the following...

go into file explorer and find the midi ( either on c: or e😊 and then rename it to sis_ then you can send it. send through file explorer....this gets round the rather lax security implementation... 😃

This is an issue with some firmwares using fexplore. Try using seleq, or try the rename extension thingy.

This is a very simple procedure...I own a Nokia 7610 and had a frustrating problem with the copyright protection too. All you have to do is open up File Explorer and go to the location of the file you want to send and delete the ".mid" extention at the end of the file name.

For example: If the file name is "hello.mid" rename it to "hello" using FExplorer

You can still play it using your music player, however when you open up your phone directory using your computer, that file wont have a program associated to it anymore, so if you want to play it on your computer just add the ".mid" extention at the end of the file name using FExplorer.

I tried this procedure but it didn't work. I used FExplorer to remove the extension of the midi file, tried to send it but I still get the "protected file" error. Anyone else here who knows a workaround?

" U SHOULD USE SELEQ AND SEND IT VIA E-MAIL"
" TELL ME IF ITS WORK" "WORKS IN MINE"

Seleq can send e-mail as said above but it is not fully compatible with Nokia7610.
U can use Fx Exp

U can simply select and Rename the file useing Fx Exp like boom.mid to boom "Delete mid from back" then u can send via IR and Bluetooth but u can't send as MMS.
