What, exactly, makes you think your firmware would have Symbian 6.0 or 6.1?
It doesn't. It may have firmware version 3.43, but it still has Symbian OS 7.0s and Series 60 2.0.
There may very well be newer firmware releases than that available (at your nearest authorized Nokia service center), but all such newer (and older firmware) versions for the 6600 are and will be based on Symbian OS 7.0s and Series 60 2.0).

Well i heard that 7.0s has just been released and my phone is over six months old or I am wrong about symbian 7.0s??? I really didnt have enough time to investigate but i only know that some phones have firmware 4.xx and mine has 3.43 or 41 or something. And i read that new phones will have Symbian 7.0s... Please explain this to me. Thanks

Symbian OS 7.0s was released by Symbian Ltd long (many months) before the first 6600 appeared for sale (after which Nokia took it and adapted for their phones, like the 6600).
In other words, all 6600's sold (every single one) have Symbian OS 7.0s regardless of what firmware version or language variant they have.
Or, to put it otherwise, all firmware versions for the 6600 are based on Symbian OS 7.0s.
This means your phone also has Symbian OS 7.0s as it is now.

You will get something newer that fixes issues found with older, previous releases. In most cases it means also better (in some cases it might mean new issues that the older version didn't have; that's the nature of complex software that is too difficult or costly or both to perfect).
However, if you don't experience any actual problems with the phone (i.e., it works OK for your needs), then the old adage "if it isn't broken, don't fix it" applies.
Anyway, it is reasonably safe, if you let a Nokia service center do it ( and if they mess up your phone for some reason, they should give you a new one ). Besides, to do it yourself, you need relatively expensive equipment and an illegal copy of firmware files.
