no there will not.

my previous phones all had to be reloaded as much as this one, so i don't mind. it's not like i don't have the chance to load it every day

Im a little bit concernced about the battery life as well. I also get the feeling that the battery wont last for too long but I can't be sure yet coz I've been using the phone extensively throughout the day since I got it. I'll have to let the battery dry completely, then make a full charge and live it on standby and see how long it'll last! But 1,5 days for a brand new battery... it doens't sounds normal to me. Sendo claims 100-170 hours standby time. That is 4 to 7 days!!

any company will claim any time of standbyn fact is that 1,5 days is normal time for a phone with such a screen and such options.

the only phone that lasted longer with me was the nokia i had (6210 i think), but it was without colour screen.

Yes, to be fair the Sendo X is halfway between an old style mobile that's just a phone and a modern laptop, after all - it's a computer with advanced OS, colour screen, speakers, 4 processors etc etc, and yet only a relatively tiny battery, so...

Hopefully the research into miniature fuel cells will bear fruit in the phone battery deptartment, then you'll get much longer life.

yes,

plus, the first mobiles with hard drives on them will be released soon, so soon our mobile will be a real pda-laptop

Wink battery life

hi all,

the battery life will not be good on your sendo x until you complete the full charge/discharge cycle. Also, bear in mind that all manufacturers get those figures based on the phone not being touched during the test period!

Battery life varies dramatically based on the network your using as well. Some networks are " demanding " and communicate with the phone a lot even when its just sitting there. Cell broadcast is also a big power consumer as the phone has to communicate with the network all the time!!!!

Lots of things you can do though to improve battery life, but its all things that you can also do on your laptop!! Reduce screen brightness ( is tere an option for backlight duration? if so..... ) , ensure applications are closed and not just forced into the background as they may still require processing power in idle. Running MP3 through the speakers is a huge power drain, headphones are much better. Bluetooth on and discoverable will drain power too.

Basically, if you think that battery life is important then just be careful what you spend it on!!! Personally, i just plug my phone in when i goto bed!
