Removing an app
I bought a used 3650 that was origionaly an AT&T phone. I unlocked the phone and it works great. The 'problem' is that it has some apps that are loaded to AT&T customers that I don't want and are just taking up space. One app is called 'Active Toon'. It is a 'Sim' that lets you change the hair and clothes of a cartoon person. Great for a 9 year old but just wasting space on my phone. I have FExplorer and SeleQ and can't figure out how to get rid of the program. Any help will be apreciated. Thanks

If it is in read-only memory, ROM (Z-drive), then you can't delete it without having the phone reflashed with a "generic" firmware version by a Nokia service center.

Cant you just uninstall it? Are there really Operators who put the programs on the z-drive?

Regrettably yes, usually just for try and buy purposes though. Unless they can be removed by the application manager then I wouldn't have though uninstalling them was an option.

Yes. Here in Portugal, all the operators costumize the phone with their own softwares. My 3660 came with a red colour palette instead of purple, tons of favourites that couldn't be removed, and tons of junk from Vodafone.
(Soory for any typing or gramatical error, bucause i'm not english)

But the uninstaller could possible be somewhere in there or not? I tried playing with my phone the other night and cut-pasted the install folder to my drive E, cause its taking too much space on my drive C, saved me a couple of KB space, and will move it back in the system folder if ill be removing anything. So maybe its also possible that the uninstaller was deleted (by the operator) or hidden somewhere by the operator. (?)
