How do I run a Java application after installation

Hi
I'm a newbie.. just got my 6600 yesterday.. can anyone help me on how to run a java application after installing it.. ive installed Quickword after download it from my pc via infrared and using the application manager to install it.. now when i try to run the application all i get are these two options:
View Details
View certificate

There are no other options that wud allow me to run the Quick application.
Another question - when an application is installed does it create a new item in the main menu?
