is it possible to remove original software?

hi again,

could anyone answer my question please

the phone I've bought from ebay is unlocked but still has orange software on it. the phone works fine on O2 but i would like to 'start fresh' if possible without all the orange stuff

Can it be done??

any advice would be greatly appreciated

Not offically,

Pop to your local CNSP (find one here http://www.nokia.co.uk/nokia/0,,54548,00.html) and ask for a s/w upgrade. (ask if you can have generic software rather than the Orange one, they shouldn't do it but some will do it for ya do)
