Free games & apps for 6600/6620!!!

Sorry to dissappoint you guys but you won't find them here.

The reason for this thread is because there have been several threads posted recently asking for free games and applications.

unfortunately, there are very few games or applications available for free. normally the only games or apps you will find for free are supplied for beta testing or trial versions. anything else is probably either cracked or warez.

as a supporter of the symbian OS & mobile production & development in general, we cannot allow the discussion or sharing of such software on this site as this has an adverse effect on the developers.

think of it this way. if you spent weeks or months developing a popular program for your phone & decided to distribute it for a small fee. you would be getting some sort of reward for all your hard work.

but if someone was to crack that software & distribute it for free i'm guessing you'd be more than a little angry.

so please think of the developers. without them your phone wouldn't be much fun.

and remember. discussing cracks/warez can get you warned/banned so save yourself the bother & don't ask.

There are a lot off freeware apps available on the net.
Butt the some superb apps cost money, they cost some buck because the people who are willing to write these generate costs like keeping up a website where you can download these apps and they want to release first quality products.

And after all, the most apps wont cost you more than say €15,00. Look at any other platform and you'll find much apps are priced €30 or more.

You're right about the guys who develope progs and games... but as i tried so many times to download java games und other stuff - always paying about 3$ (I am from Switzerland there's 6 CHF) - and it never worked (It says: wrong filetype, cannot be installed), i was trying to find some free-games to check out what the problem is! Unfortunately i couldn't solve the problem... I tried to install them both on phone memory and on the memory card! Have you any idea what the problem could be?

You can get alot of freeware apps on yahoo groups i think.They arent warez....they're freeware and trail stuff.Just seach for symbian os or symbial files on removed,removed

Most mobile applications aren't from "corporations" but from 1 or 2 man team developers just toying around trying to make a little extra spending cash -- don't be a twit. If there are applications out there you want and need, so buy them ... the investment isn't great and you'll have a clean conscious (not to mention help those developers continue developing, for OUR benefit).

If you like to download cracks and warez, I hope you're struck by a car ....
