Battery indicator query

Has anyone had problems with their battery indicator. When i put a battery in nokia or non-nokia the battery indicator says full as its just been fully charged. But later in the day say 10hrs later my indicator still says full and has not moved. So i switch the phone off and back on again and the indicator has actually showed less bars. This seems to happen now and then. Anyone had this problem?

Also i had the latest beta screensaver program which would show the battery indicator with differnet amount of battery bars to the indicator in standby.

I've had this 'problem' with both of my last two phones (siemens SL45, Nokia 7110), but not seen it on th 7650...yet

I thought it was just one of those things mobile batteries did.

Yes the battery indicator isnt updated in realtime, either that or the software cannot get the exact read on the middle bars, as it seems to be those which are inaccurate, I find the lifespan oin the top bar, and first bar are correct, but in between that ther bars could drop over 10hrs or 10mins.

Who knows if its software or the batteries, I am guessing its like with ya printer, the pesky pronter apps tell you how much ink you have left, but they are only estimations, no the accurate and correct levels of ink.

Nokia have been making mobile phones for ages and surely a simply thing like a battery meter can be implemented. Got a t68i and that battery last for ages and the battery meter is much more better it actually moves, unlike mine which seems to report its on a full power even when i've had it for a day running :(

If you want the battery to last longer get a higher capacity battery. You can't compare the battery life of the T68(i) and the 7650, I have owned both phones, the main difference being T68(i) is just a basic phone, where as the 7650 has an operating system and so the demand for battery power is far greater, especialy when using applications.

As for the battery strength indicator, it is an issue that I have noticed from the begining. And perhaps could be "fixed" in a later firmware upgrade.

hope it's in the version 4 firmware. I know the t68 and 7650 are differnet phones but at least the indicator is better on t68 it works better than the 7650
