N gage Problems
Hey there, this is the first time i have used this forum and i would just like to ask a few questions. I have had my N gage since Oct 2003 and I am completely dissatisfied with it thus far. I am on my 3rd phone as the last two have ended up with what people call the white screen of detah where it would not start up. Anyway, my main propblem with the phone is that no matter what PC i use PC suite never detects the phone, therefore I cannot add ANY applications which is one of the main reasons I bought the phone. I can however access the E: when I use the USB lead to connect to my PC, from My Computer I can add and delete various files. I cannot install applications or use any of the functions available in PC suite. I would appreciate anyone instructing me how to install Apps manually through MY Computer or suggestions as to how I can get PC Suite to work. Thankyou very much. Ben.

Do you have Bluetooth on the PC? PC Suite does not work with the USB cable. Only Bluetooth. It is mentioned in the N-Gage User's Guide.

For example, you can put it in the root of the MMC through the USB cable and use the "Manager" app to install it.

how to install sis apps
You can't install apps with your pc. After transfer apps to your mmc card root folder, you should disconnect your n gage with pc , then go into tools-->manager,
find and select your app in mmc card, use options-->install, then install is begining.

root folder
root folder is the top level folder, that's mean in your pc explore if your mmc card shows as " local disk I: " , just put the app in it, not any folders of the disk.
Your app in your mmc card should like this , I:\appname.sis .I think you can understand me. good luck.

If not so ,you are a very junior one. Or I did not explain well, really sorry.
local disk I: means the ngage mmc card recognised by pc, it's the new one added into your pc explore just when you connect the ngage to your pc. It can be lcoal disk
D: or E: or F: just depends on how many disks on your pc already.
by the way ,My english may be not well. you can correct my phase. thanks.

The games in .rar files are usually illegal, cracked copies of N-Gage game card games. No discussions about such are welcome on this site.

The easiest way to install a game in a .rar file to an MMC is to get your wallet, go to the store and buy it already on an MMC.
