Hi...
I have installed a USB infrared on Windows XP.
When i start PC Suite, i cannot connect to my phone. I cannot see an Infra Red port in the 'Connect using' list.
Please help.

This is an easy one.
From the start button select all programs, then the Pc Suite folder, inside this folder you will find "2000 & Xp IrDA drivers" click on this. You will be displayed with a message about not having to reboot.
Now go into device manager (right click on my computer and go propteries, then hardware & device manager.) Once in here expand ports COM & LPT, you will see that IrDA has been assigned a com port number, remember this number.
Now just select the relevent COM port in the Connect Using List & activate the Ir on the communicator and place it infront of the IrDA port on the Pc.
The icon in the system tray will now start to animate, once this has turned Blue & Green you are then able to open Pc Suite.
Hope this helped.

PC Suite not connecting
Hi... now the icon in the systry keeps on animating (says it is transferring data), but does not turn blue and green (connected). It just keeps on shifting between the animation and the grey (waiting for connection) state.
Any ideas?

Make sure your Ir speed is 115200 or 115.2 in device manager.

Solution for problem
Hi!
I had same problem.
I soleve it by turning on onboard IR for COM port 2 in BIOS of my MBO.
I have 2 drivers in WinXP for IRD (1 usb and 1 MBO) and I have only USB IR adapter.
Everything works fine.
Mail me if you still have problems.
Regards
Kristijan
