Firmware upgrade

I know that this has been asked plenty of times, but I haven't found a suitable answer.
I have N3650 with firmware 2.50
I was wondering, what are the advantages of a newer firmware. I have only a month of warrenty left, so if I want to do it, I must do it now. I heard that on 6600 with newer firmware the sending of jar files is disabled. Is this also on N3650?

Its always better to get the latest firmwave even if it does have features which are disabled. There are always 3rd part apps which will do the samething anyway.

*#0000* & you upgrade by taking/sending your phone to your nearest Nokia authorized service center.

It would also be a good idea if you familiarized yourself with this useful site feature:
