Problem with 6600 Calendar
Hi,
My 6600 calendar entries had all disappeared recently. I tried restoring from 1) MS Outlook Syn and 2) from "PC suite for Nokia 6600" but the calendar was still empty.
I tried inserting a record in calendar but it disappeared after I exit and re-enter calendar. All I see when I open calendar was "(no entries)".
Is my calendar file corrupted? Does anyone else have this problem too?
Does anyone know how to fix this problem? Thanks in advance.

Do you have any mophung games installed?
I understood there was some sort of problem with the mophun engine. If so, please search the forum.

Realis, Thanks for the links.
However, both links does not provide any solution to solve the problem. In the meantime, I will check in the internet for solutions in this area.
I have not installed any games recently (none that I can remember). Anyway, I am willing to try any possible solutions as I hope to avoid reinstallation.
Hope someone can provide me with options to solve this problem.

Hi ANORTHOSiS 1911,
You mean restore which files from MMC? Could you provide more details on what you did? Thanks.

He probably means that he had previously made a backup of the phone memory on the MMC.
This is done by going to Menu-Extras-Memory-Options-Backup to memory card.

Hi,
A little more info on the problem:
I checked the file size of calendar in C:\System\Data (ie. data file). When I enter some info in Calendar, the file size increased corresponding (over 441B). When I exit Calendar, everything is still ok (ie. data still saved in larger Calendar file). When I use FExplorer to open the Calendar data file, I could see the details entered.
When I restart Calendar (ie. open again), the software revert back to a blank 441B data file. All previously entered data were lost.
My conclusion is that Calendar somehow "reset" or override the data file with a blank file. Anyone know whether there is some parameters I could set to solve this problem?
Hope this extra info helps. Thanks.

The mysterious is that calendar does not show anything but when you enter to see memory detail --> phone memory in calendar you see that e.g. 62kb is used.
That means thar is stored somewhere but are not appeared on calendar.

Hi,
I have same problem. I discovered that the program "Spy Call" caused this.
When I installed Spy Call to MMC, all the reminds in my calendar disappeared. So I decided to uninstall "Spy Call" and now calendar work again. But so far there is another problem. I set a meeting for the next day but the phone doesnot alarm at that time. When I check calendar it show a note "... change the time.." (I dont remember exactly). Can anyone know?

Hi,
I discovered Spy Call was the culprit too.
Anyone, in response my post in Nokia Developer forum, someone mentioned that he managed to get his calendar working again by the following:
1) Create entry in Calendar
2) Power off phone (ie. without exiting Calendar)
3) Start Phone...
With the above, he claimed that his calendar was back in order. I did not try it out but this may help others with this problem.
Anyway, from this incident, I learnt the following the hard way:
1) ALWAYS BACKUP PHONE MEMORY TO MMC B4 INSTALLING APPL
2) TEST ALL APPL AFTER NEW APPL INSTALLATION
3) DO NOT INSTALL SPY CALL!!!

Vamp: Thanks for sharing all this with us. I too had SpyCall installed for a while but I must say I don't remember it causing me the same problems. Number 2 on your list is something we all should follow.
