the Sendo X will have the NOW! screen and MS mobile has a similar setup. is there a third party app that will provide this facility on other series 60 phones? the screen appear to take the place of a normal standby mode wall paper i think, so is always accessible

Active Desk is ok but its integration with the UI is not exactly perfect.I doubt it will be as good as Sendo's NOW screen.Lets just wait for the Sendo to be released an see.

I don't know,i've only played with Active Desk for a while. One thing a noticed is that the main phone screen is still there,if you want the start the today screen you need to press the menu key and if you want to start the menu, you need to press the menu key twice(from the main phone screen).

There is an option that you can switch between the AD screen and menu without the standby screen.
