Hi,
I have PM'd you a URL to go to about this.
I couldn't post it here as some thread would not be welcomed.

Hi All,
I followed the instructions, picture after picture.
Crikey! Now I have a totally dis-assembled nokia 6600, I only wanted to change the facia :( lol
That was very indepth, my suggestion don't go down the page to far if you want to keep your warrenty.
Also keep inmind guys not to leave any marks on the phone, because if intime you need to get warrenty repairs done and the NSC spot claw marks down the sides, they will get suspicious and not repair the phone.

Sorry mate, I can't do that. The site does contain reference to warez/cracked software and it is not allowed in this forum.
I do not want to be banned from here for breaking the rules.

That link would be great if we all HAD the "opening tool (JIG)"...
I dont.
I bought an all black replacement face for my 6600, I now have a poorly fitting front cover and scratched sides to the phone.
My advice, DONT replace your cover unless you are VERY good at that sort of thing and can magically make non-nokia poorly manufactered fronts fit.

I don't suppose anyone knows what sorta price an authorised repair centre (car phone warehouse or nokia etc.) would charge to replace the standard cover if it were damaged?

Cost replace casing
Carphone warehouse £10.
Kjc £15
Link £15

Assuming you have the replacement case?
They will only fit Genuine Nokia.

Hey guys! This has been discussed extensively on this forum...
http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/forum...ighlight=Cover
You can also find a link to the english translation on how to take the front cover off.
Cheers

Alternate option to jig
use the blunt side of a butter knife... once you get the 'paperclip' through one side of the 2 holes to get the butter knife's flast /blunt side in. you can slide the blunt side around the whole line/crack of the phone and it will pop open freely.

Dead easy, just start at one of the bottom corners and work your way round - I got mine off within a minute.
I managed to smash my screen (just the cover, not the LCD) when the phone flew off my car seat when I braked - bought a new fascia for 7 UKP (incl new buttons and battery cover), decided the new one looked a bit crap as it didnt have the nokia logo on and you couldnt see the writing on the keys when lit up, so prised out the screen from the new cover and just replaced it on my old one, almost as good as new now (the screen isnt quite as glossy as the original but it is perfectly acceptable).
