is 6600 compatible with old charger?

My charger for 6600 makes a squeeling noise when it is switched on, and I usually charge when I am asleep so it is very very irritating.

My charger is definitely faulty. My question is will my old charger (square block in shape) from nokia models 32/33/82/83 work instead with the 6600? I need to know for sure as I don't want to break my battery. I do know myself that 'all' nokia chargers are compatible with all nokia, but they seem to have brought out a new slim model charger with new phones

the 6600 charger acp-12x is the fastest one right now.all the previous ones work fine,they are just slower than this.

Will this work the other way round?
ie can you charge 3330 for example,with 6600 charger without damage to 3330 battery?

I have a 3310 and a 8310 at home and sometimes I use them. I charge them with the 6600 charger and there's NO PROBLEM at all, well it get's a little bit hot (the phone I mean), apart from that, everything is OK!

you can do whatever you want.this way or the other way.all the chargers get hot.you will not damage the battery.end of story.
