BlueTooth Driver Installation

Hi, I'm sorry if I posted this in the wrong forum, but since I have a 7650 I thought it wouldn't be that bad .

Problemo: I started up my PC as usual, my BT icon would come up in the status bar (Lower right taskbar). After about 30 seconds I would get an error mesage, saying the stack device could not be started.

I though OK, I'll just uninstall the drivers and install some new ones!

The latest version I could find was 1.4.2, so after downloading it and clicking next a couple of times I came to the button Install. And that's were the real problem starts.

The meter goes quite fast, but stops at about 70% or so. The patient guy that I am, I gave the install 2 more hours... nothing changed.

I tried downloading the drivers again and from different sites (different company's drivers), but they all stop at about 70%.

So I tried installing my old drivers which worked a long time untill the first error appeared. (1.3.2.7) And that one stops as well!!!!

Could someone please help me? I'm so desperate that I'm willing to eat my Bluetooth USB stick! It's a Sitecom CN-500.

I came a bit further in the installation process, but now it seems to be "hanging" at the bit that says "Deleting Driver Bin Files".

Please help me!

Thank you so much for your reply, but installing Windows all over again? I can't say I like the sound of that .

And what BT forums do you suggest?

Again, thank you for your reply, I really miss my BT.

Bluetooth Stack Errors or Bluetooth Tray errors

If you get a stack or tray error, it’s probably because you installed the adaptor or card before you
installed the Bluetooth software, instead of after.
Remove the Bluetooth software by selecting the Add/Remove Programs option from the Control
Panel, finding the TDK Bluetooth software in the list, and removing it. Disconnect the TDK USB Adaptor or remove the TDK PC Card from the slot. Restart your computer.
Search for all files with TDK in the name and remove them. Restart your computer.
Install the TDK software. Restart your computer.
Connect the TDK USB Adaptor, or insert the PC Card in the PCMCIA slot. The software will autodetect the Bluetooth device and configure it.
