Movie files full screen? help with settings
Hi
I've searched the forums and got some pretty useful info on how to encode real one files using Helix Producer Plus. Having done so using the settings below provided by sabZ. However, when i go to play the file it only takes up about 1/2 the screen. Anyone know what size to encode the video to view on max size using Real One player on the 6600,
Thanks in advance
Deluxe99
using helix producer plus vr9 i used the following settings (these are stolen from another thread):
Audio Mode: Music
Video Mode: Normal Motion Video
Real 8 Codec (or the phone will not read it)
Size: 176x144
2-pass normally off (for speed)
Maintain ratio/High quality resize/High Quality audio resampling
Then I created a new audience template called 3650 with these settings:
For A/V encoding:
Constant bit rate: 80Kbps
Frames: 20 fps (This equates to roughly every other frame of video)
Voice codec: 16Kbps voice (G2, RA8)
Music: 16Kbps
For audio only encoding:
didnt change it

Not possible; RealOne Player on the phone simply doesn't have the capability as it exists today (that is, Real Networks has to rewrite it for full-screen support; there is no encoding or undocumented settings or anything that'll help with that program).

Mobiclip
Hi,
You need Mobiclip, as this software allows users to encode video in full screen 208x176 and then the player installed on the phone to view it.
It takes .AVI's and converts to .mo file format.
Haven't made any myself but they are available from the net to test.
Go here to find out more http://www.actimagine.com

in repsonse to the first guys answer. I dont want it to play full screen but rather just take up all the available viewing area (minus the Real One header at the top).
will check mobiclip but if anyone has any ideas re. REal player...

Hi,
That means it will be full screen then, all viewing area 208X176 is using all the available area.
It's a shame RealOne doesn't allow this as yet, maybe they might change it I don't know.
I tried Real One Advanced yesterday and to be honest it wasn't worth it, on the clips I had it was jerky. In it's defence it still is only a beta so the general release one will hopefully be better.

the viewing area that you are looking for is 176x144. you might have to turn off the "maintain aspect ratio" option, but this may stretch the image a bit.
Also if the movie you are encoding has black borders on as part of the file you will need to remove them first, but i don't know how you would do that .

found a quicker fix. Downloaded Mobiclip and converter. Now i have 208 x 176 widescreen, 15fps movies on my phone! Ok they are larger files but 256MB MMC cards are cheap and you can get a whole simpsons episode into about 30-40MB using Mobiclip. Its full screen and quality has to be seen to be belived.
anyone else used it?

Mobiclip converts anything you have in .avi, .mpeg etc into .mo files (use VirtualDub [free] to convert to Actimagine files first). Mobiclip comes with a thorough readme.pdf. If you want Simpsons cartoon episodes, rip them from a DVD or i have heard of P2P networks (not that i would use them!!!)
