I have n-gage and have placed mp3 on my n-gages mmc. I try to chose it from the list in profiles but get nowhere since it does not appear in the list. I convert it to wav and its there. I have also read before that you cant have mp3s as ringtones or is it message alerts. I am not sure. But you guys are being straight with me I can you use mp3s as ringtones right?

Yes you can use mp3 as ringtones.... but the odd thing is we have the opposite concern..... I cant use WAV as ringtones! Hahaha... crazy nokia people. This is very absurd.

I use a WAV ringtone. Make sure your WAV files are in c:\Nokia\Sounds\Digital on the phone.

Yeah, this could actually become very handy!!! If it is possible to boot off the mmc after copying c: to the mmc, couldnt we do this if we had the white screen of death problems??? Although this wouldnt give us mp3 player, radio, menu etc, it would allow us to hard reset the internal memory to get the phone up and working again!!! easy
So the question is, did it really boot from the mmc after deleting c: or not dude??
PLZ reply asap

mp3 cannot be listed out in the profile > ringtone when there is a mp3 player application installed. somehow it captures the mp3 in the card and doesnt allow u to choose it as the ringtone. try uninstalling all the application in your phone that uses mp3 or plays mp3.

The phone still boots up, my contacts and messages are still there, I can still make outgoing calls, BUT....
I have lost the Menu functionality, USB Connectivity, MP3, Radio, and cannot receive incoming calls.... so basically, it means I need to return it to the shop and have Nokia fix it. Hehehe.... what I did was really stupid but somebody has got to do it. Case closed... I hope everybody reads this bcoz this is really important.
So the moral lesson is:
Be careful when using "File Explorer" software and do not attempt to delete stuff you dont really know where and what it is for. And do not tamper with the Flash Memory.

yeah man i did the same thing - deleted C: using file explorer well unknowingly . i was little fast operating file explorer and i didn't know when i deleted C:. that too just after 15 days i bought my N gage QD . do i need to go to nokia care center or can i restore all my setting by myself.
my menu icon don't come when i press the menu key . contacts are still there.
