messaging and MMC
I searched the n-gage forum, with no luck..
In my 3650 I was able to configure the location of my messages to be placed on the MMC card..
Has it been removed totally from the n-gage or does someone know how to tweak it, so they can be on the MMC?
The option that was on my 3650 seems to be missing

You can't store messages on the MMC,probably because the designers had in mind that a large percent of the time the N-Gage will use a read only game MMC and not a regular MMC.

MMC is for games/mp3's/apps/images....... it's not a shame. for your info even ringtones are not stored on the mmc.

the n-gage and the 3650 are both based on the same OS..
So actually there is no problem in the design to have the messages stored on the MMC..
Yes. I can see the problem with switching cards, having your messages stored on MMC.. But.. saying MMC is only for games/mp3's/apps/images is not right
I always had my messages on the MMC on my 3650.. (great for memory)

I agree with Tatus.Every Series 60 device, except the N-Gage doesn't have any problems with storing the inbox on the MMC.

I agree with Tatus and Ghostdog as this relates to a problem I'm having just now with getting stuff off the PC and onto the N-Gage as I don't yet have Bluetooth or USB 2.0 support on my laptop to read the MMC card.
If I want to install a game on the N-Gage, I have to first put it onto my P900 and then transfer it through Bluetooth. The problem with doing it this way is that it automatically loads into the internal memory and there's never enough free space even though there's a 128 MMC card. Is there a way to change the settings to store apps into the external memory using Bluetooth. This is a real pain! Hope it's just me that's missed something here.

i agree with Tatus, too. I still don't understand why N-Gage can't store messages to MMC. It is not logical to put this feature to other series 60 devies of nokia and not to N-Gage.

Search for PC FtpBridge or if you don't have problems with epocware after their latest scam try PC File Manager.

Ismail, yes its normal, but its just bad design. Some people have a huge inbox that doesn't fit on the c:\ drive. They should've made two MMC slots or something.
