3GPP Philips Camcoder PRO for Nokia 3650
http://shop.my-symbian.com/PlatformP...027&catalog=20
Phillips camcorder pro, looks VERY much like ETI camcorder but with .3gp video format
Anyone played with it yet, hope it's a good quality as ETI, ETI don't seem to be supporting their program any longer as there has not been an update since it was released???
Only problem is Philips have not made a Trial version :(
Anyone played with it yet?
Will

Hey!
This program rocks!!
I've deleted ETI already and will be buying this -
full screen mode!
15 frames a second!
No time limit!
May be my excitment but even my old .3gp recorded with the built in recorder files appear to play back better in this!!
I'm using the pro version - another tenner!!! = 30 quid!
I might put the regular version on and see what the difference is..
Everybody must try this!!

The trial is limited only the high quality,150 KB limit for the file size and it seems that the phone restart after a couple of records and playback.

Thank you for pointing out this software - it's bloody brilliant!! I can't believe how good the quality is at the highest frame rate, even with lots of action on screen.
On minor annoyance is still having to send videos individually to the PC via bluetooth but otherwise I've no complaints and will be buying it for my 3650.

On my 7650, I can record Pro quality more than 150kb or no limit with trial version, because still within 7days trial period?
I find that video quality MPEG-4 is better than H263, what do u guys think?

xhide,Are you saying that you can recorder in Pro quality and more then 150 KB in the trial?Mpeg4 records in higher res but H263 does better fps and smoother playback.
jojo,I don't think its a bug but a limitation of the trial version.

Yeah, i've tested recording more than 150kb in any quality, format or fps. I'm sure it is a trial version because i downloaded it from my-symbians.com site.
so far the only problem i got sometimes which is warning about not enough memory to record (forgot the exactly messege) eventhough i still have 1mb of space in my phone in my phone, maybe i was meant about my ram.

Yeah - I've seen the low memory warning too.
I think it's on about RAM as I have 70mb free disk space.
Also both times I had an active bluetooth connection to my headset open so I guess the bluetooth is zapping that little bit of RAM that the program wants.
Also I notice the PRO setting only allows recording in the lower res?
Which means once scalled up in size when played on full screen looks the same as the 'high' quality on the higher res - so whats the point of paying the extra tenner for the PRO version?
Is there anything else restricted in the standard version that makes the PRO version worth buying?
