I have high speed enabled on my sim

I want to use my communicator to fax
and to recieve faxes but when i go to fax
the box where it says
send as a fax
as a short message
via infa red

as a fax is greyed out and when i try to send a fax it fails

also when someone tries to fax me it just comes in as a normal call and just keeps ringing and ringing

maybe you havent installed "Fax.Sis"...

and your gsm provider must give you a separate # for fax... this will be the number to dial for your fax needs...

just check em out. -ayv

As the other poster says its probably a case of you not having installed FAX (find it on the CD or at the Forum Nokia website - a more recent version depending on when you bought your 9210 and the firmware version). If you have installed it try reinstalling.

and dont worry about being inexperienced this forum is for the beginners just as much as any experts that might exist.

N9210 is on a distinguished road
Phone Orange Cust Service, and when they answer 3 hours later, tell them you need a fax and data number for your nokia 9000 - yes I said 9000 as if you tell them 9210 they will tell you it's not supported. You will then get a fax number for people to fax you on.
