I'm with you on this one- I would rather not use PC Suite, because I have to hook up to that with the IR and it goes so Sloooowww.

I have a quick USB 2.0 card reader on my PC and I use that to transfer software installations, photos, etc. It would be cool if I knew a file path/filename that I could copy the Contacts file all at once to my MMC card and then over to the PC with a card reader. Anyone know if that's possible? Thanks!

As i figure... the contacts file is on :
C:\system\Data\Contacts.cdb
Now i haven't tried to back it up like this (I use Oxygen), but
it would be interesting to try...
This brings me to another question:

CAN YOU STORE CONTACTS ON THE MMC and NOT in the phone memory ?

No way, just have to use PCsuite, and you have to leave the contact db in the phone memory.

In my opinion, the best way to backup your Contacts is to syncronise them with your Organizer Program.
I am using Lotus Organizer 6 and it works very smothly... :-)
(Okay, that way you still have to use PC-Suite though,....)
