Siemens phone plays n-gage games.
Ok, so it's no surprise that the SX1 can play cracked n-gage games, given that they're both series 60 phones, but I do find it quite amusing seeing the n-gage logo on the siemens.
At least this will give Nokia a swift kick in the pants about their security/copy protection.

Even more amazing is the fact that someone actualy had an SX1!
I don't think the SX1 is ever going to see the light of day. It's been 'coming out' for like 4-6 months now. Pushed back every month, it'll be old before it hits the shelves.

Don't worry, it will come and it will be popular. It's truly an amazing phone, I've used for almost 2 months now
The SX1 is in the headlines alll over the world today. The Times, Der Spiegel, The Register, Wired.com, Cnet... thanks to press releases from AP and Reuters
And here's the images it's all about, in case you haven't seen them

Hehe, nice to see.
So, you've had an SX1 for almost 2 months!?! Do you work in the phones business or for siemens?
If you've had the phone for nearly 2 months, why isn't it on the shelves? Are they not shelf worthy yet?
Sorry for the questions
Oh yeah and... do you want to sell? lol

No, I have no other relations to Siemens other than some good contacts...
I think Siemens want to make the SX1 as close to 100% free of bugs before they release it. The one I got is already more stabile than the final version of the 6600, so if it was up to me I would have released the SX1 now... :(

But how do you play N-gage on a SX1, because you use 5-button and 7-button. 5 is on the left and 7 on the right. That means moving your thumb over the screen. Nice gameplay :p

But you need one thumb to control the joystick, or are you switching thumbs to control it. Maybe you got three hands

You can use the thumb on the 5 and the 'long finger' on the seven.
Anyways, joystick and 5 key is the only keys you need in most of those games

too bad
hmmm.. where are you from molna? how come you have been using the sx1 for two months already when it isnt out in the market yet? hmmm maybe you're from siemen's and you just dont want us to get tired of waiting for sx1. i've been waiting for it and quite frankly, im fed up. lots of new phones will be released soon that has surpassed the sx1 features. its too bad, i was really excited about this phone, on the other hand its a good thing coz since newer phones are gonna be released at the same time sx1 will be released, there would be more phones to choose from.

check this out
Siemens has proved its SX1 is yet again delayed.
The previous shipment date of the Series 60-based smartphone was scheduled to commence in week 49, but a Siemens spokesperson yesterday confirmed that this date would slip; still, the manufacturer has its aim set for launching the device in January or February 2004.

SX1
Well, I think it's a bad business decision to hold back so long ... It can't be THAT buggy .... I have seen and played with a SX1 (from a Siemens guy) for a few minutes ... nice UI, and nice looking phone ... I don't know WHAT the heck they're thinking ... they should just launch it, and then keep working on the firmware, and just launch the firmware update once they have "worked out the bugs." Most people won't even see the bugs anyway, unless you're an application developer, and you can develop around the bugs anyway.
