First Up Against The Wall When The Revolution Comes?

So who else was with Rafe at Mobius? A rather, ehrm, one-sided review of the attendees and their websites can be found at MS-Mobiles. Should we be happy that "This website never publishes reports from the conference and is always spreading hostile anti-Microsoft propaganda. Besides this it is a low traffic website" or worried that the editor hasn't looked here, here or here?

We need to learn a lesson from history and persuade someone to give JPZR a job in Microsoft.

We all know what happened to that famous Austrian who was told that he couldn't paint!

So come on Microsoft, invite him to your parties before he grows a funny moustache and invades Poland!

However, some comments to the editor of that broadsheet website;
  • * I was wondering what 'negative' meant, so thank you MSMobiles, I now know that it means 'less than zero'.

    * Yes, it probably is entirely a personal thing that you've not been invited.

    * Stop referring to yourSELF in the PLURAL! What are you, royalty!? God!? This is particularly annoying after I read a comment you made on a Microsoft newsgroup; "is anybody from "The PocketTV Team" going to Geneva to
this conference? why do you say "we" then, if not?
    "

    Quote:
    JPZR, Editor of MSMobiles wrote:
Bravo, Rafe! I always was thinking that you deserve being invited there.

Also: you should not worry about yourself, Symbian-related webmaster, going to Microsoft's conference! After all you live in free country - UK, and not in soviet-like Finland.
    - sour grapes?

Ok, post over. JPZR makes me laugh, though I wonder how he managed to get permission for broadband internet access in his padded cell.

I think its quite amusing

No intelligent person can take anything he says seriously. What he says is as likely to drive people towards Nokia rather than put them off.

What I think would be really amusing is if Nokia dumped Symbian and adopted MS Smartphone then what would he do?

i don't know if you guys noticed this or this but i think you should check it out. eventhough aas "is a low traffic website" it seems we have a higher traffic average than msmobiles.

the funniest thing is that i found these statistics using the link that's beside the comments about aas on msmobiles!
i think JPZR needs to do a little research before putting his foot in his own mouth!

Cool Mobius

I went to the first one of these three years ago (before they called it Mobius, kids) when they called (see my post http://www.geek.com/pdageek/features...even092900.htm at geek.com, for whom I still write, albeit verrry occasionally.)

Mobius is clearly a way for Microsoft to bypass the >perhaps< more cynical mainstream press and go directly to the geeks and give them access to MS stuff and people, in the chance that they will 'spread the word.' Are they 'buying anyone off'? I don't think so. Julie and Judie of the Gadgeteer are longtime and current Palm users, Joel Evans and palmsolo at geek use a bunch of devices in addition to MS stuff, and other than Dale Coffing and Jason Dunn, not too many of the others are members of the Borg. Me, I checked the Pocket PC stuff out and found there was a lot to like, but more not to like, so ultimately not enough to be a keeper. I'm a Handspring Treo and netBook user right now, and am waiting to make the leap to a REASONABLY priced UIQ phone.

Clearly, AAS is a pro-Symbian site, but it's not afraid to spank Symbian when they need spanking (Mobitopia is like this too.) And I've seen Rafe giving MS their props when they deserve them. Just the same, it's humorous to see Rafe/AAS being labeled as an archenemy of the MS State. Yeah, Next they will be rumoring Rafe to have been seen lunching with BillG, George Steinbrenner, and GW Bush

my $0.02...

Finally reached msmobiles...cute!

There is a good reasons for JPZR not being invited to Mobius. He already spreads the MS gospel so why should they give him a bag of goodies for free, shiny MS labelled candy bars? JPZR: if you are reading this, try kicking some Microsoft ASS,publish some positive reviews about some Symbian smartphone and maybe, just maybe, next time, you'll get your bag of goodies.

GRIM REAPER,higher the rating, lower the traffic,so according to Alexa,AAS has lower traffic then msmobiles.

BTW:The Alexa toolbar is not really an accurate way of measuring a website's traffic.I certainly don't use it.
