Problems with getting Lotus Notes data into 9290

Hi - I am trying to use the desktop software that came with the 9290, so I created a database in my lotus notes that had the information for my contacts so that I can synchronize my data to the phone. I have 4000 contacts that need to be synced.

Problem is that after about 3k contacts the link always craps out. It takes hours going through the serial port for all this data, but I cannot get it to go.

What I was thinking is that is there a way that I can dump the data into a database on the MMC card and then transfer to the phone? That way I bypass the problem.

Any help I would appreciate!

Regards,

4000 contacts!? You're just showing off aren't you!! I bet they're all copied out of the phone book !

Are you syncing them to your default contacts database? How about trying to sync them with a contacts database on the MMC?

Are some of the contacts getting through?

Does it always stop on the same contact?

If yes to both, try deleting that contact and see what happens...

I am syncing them to another database on the MMC card. What I think is the problem is that after awhile the serial connection to the phone or PC gets "overloaded"?? but what I thought may work is what if I can make a database on the MMC card myself and find out the way the OS saves information, then I can take the info and load it into the database myself on a mmc card reader/writer then I can put the MMC card back into the phone.

Actually the 4000 contacts is the entire company database. But you just never know when another sales guy will be gone and have to cover and your notebook takes forever to crank up...

I am a little dissapointed in the 9290 as the Palm phone that I used to use (treo 180) its very easy to sync that amount of contacts in etc.

But any help about maybe loading my database into the MMC card would be great. Thanks!
