Bad news for OggPlay!
...And all the other small companies and individuals developing P800 software... See: http://www.geocities.com/p800tools/

ooo, that's not good, though if the developer of the player reads this forum, it would be great if he/her could continue making this application better and then personally sending it to me

That is bad news! :-? They should stimulate developpers to start more of these initiatives.
I don't really get what this patent is about!? About making freeware for UIQ or Ogg? Both would be bad
An OS stands or falls with the (free) software available
If Ogg is making a patent claim, I REALLY don't get it. These kind of apps makes the Ogg-standard more populair
I'm confused...

It seems to be a protest against software patents in Europe (EU), where in principle software patents are not allowed currently (like they are in the US), but are being considered (however, the European Patent Office has still, in effect, been granting such for a number of years).
