Loudiness of music volume vs ringtone

In Preferences > Sounds and Alerts > Ringtone

Volume 1: In the box Select audio, press 'Play' button

Volume 2: In the menu 'Sounds and Alerts', press 'Trumpet' button

Volume 3: Play with factory default Media player

Result: Volume 1 > (Volume 2 = Volume 3) ????

And ringtone volume has 9 levels while Media file volume has only 8 levels? Why

i didn't really get what you meant, but i know that the rigntone or sms alerts volume bar is louder than the normal audio volume bar

Probably to avoid distorsion, I mean, at top volume even ringtones sound quite white
