Will a P800 with Expansion Jacket fit in Krussel cover?
Will the P800 with a "Memory Stick Expansion Jacket":
fit in a "Krusell Leather Case like this":
And if I use such a jacket, can i still use a duo stick at the same time?
(sounds kind of crazy because how does the P800 know which memory to use? Not to mention how to address 2 memory’s at the same time…)

Yes, it does sound crazy That means you're right(unfortunately), it's not possible to use the normal and duo at the same time

"Use your normal Memory Stick media instead of Memory Stick Pro media with the P800." This is a description i found at this site "http://www.expansys.com/psionproduct.asp?code=P800_MSEXP"
regarding the memory stick jacket...could someone please tell me if this jacket takes duo sticks or allows us to put traditional memory sticks in. AND, has this product actually started shipping? if so wouldnt it be better to buy this and a few very cheap memory sticks?
btw: this is my first post and my p800 hasnt even been delivered so please dont ignore me!

yes this thing is already out but I am not too sure about where you can ge them. here in hong kong, it is everywhere and they go for around $800hk. This thing allows you to use the cheaper normal Memory Sticks instead of the more pricy Memory Stick Duos. I would actually just advise you to buy the Memory Stick jacket if you already have the normal Memory Sticks. If you don't, you would be better off just buying a brand new Memory Stick Duo.

Yes, with this you can use normal memory sticks. But, since the P800 doesn't support more than 128MB it's no real use. It will only make your P800 bigger.
I thought P800er.com had them in stock, but now I'm unable to find it again ops:

I take it AAS is the name of the forum?!
anyway - the site i mentioned "http://www.expansys.com/product.asp?code=P800_MSEXP" is elling this thing for 73GBP inc VAT. and you can buy a 128mb stick for 37gbp here
"http://www.moltengold.com/cgi-bin/eBzget5A.pl?shop=2060MyMemory&trolley=19454161 62&page=http://www.mymemory.uk.com/"
that amounts to 110gbp
although duo sticks are cheaper - the normal memory sticks will be better value in the end...wont they? how much bugger does it make the phone?!
ps: can someone show me the forum rules - i posted ftp info on the site - i dont think its allowed?!

AAS stands for All About Symbian.
Why will the normal sticks be better value in the end. Duo is cheaper than that Jacket + normal, you can use the Duo as a normal stick in other devices as well, both are limited to 128MB, and the P800 won't get bigger when you use a duo. I don't get why you want to go for that jacket instead of the Duo....
The rules are a sticky

Jacket..
One reason I can think of is that in some places 128 Duos are scarcer than honest politicians.
Also, the more memory you buy the better a deal it is. If you buy one 128 MS duo against 1 128 standard MS and the jacket, the duo is cheaper. If you're buy 5 128 Duos against 5 128 standard MS's and a jacket, it's a much better deal.
OK, I can't think off the top of my head why *I'd* want 640MB of storage on my P800, but I'm sure there are people out there who do .

At least Symbian OS does not have such limitations. The second memory stick would just become the E: disc. For instance the Psion netBook can have one CF in the drawer (D: disc) and one Memory Stick in the PC-card slot (E: disc).
The P800 already addresses four 'discs':
A: disc - for viewer app (firmware)
C: disc - for internal memory
D: disc - for Memory Stick Duo
Z: disc - for operating system and apps (firmware)
But if the hardware is using the same connector, then of course...not possible.
