ANNOUNCEMENT: ETI Camcorder 1.0

Dear All,

I'm pleased to announce the availability of ETI Camcorder version 1.0. Now it is available for purchase from www.handango.com at $9.95USD with a FREE one-year upgrade. A free watermarked evaluation version will soon be available online as well.

This version contains numerous bug fixes and feature enhancements over the previous beta, thanks to our dear testers from all over the world Below is a list of new features/fixes:

- Near perfect A/V sync
- Permanent backlight during recording
- Recording status shows duration and size
- Shortcut keys: 1-high quality, 2-standard quality, 3-low quality, abc-audio on/off
- User selectable audio codec: general/speech
- User configurable MMS size limit
- Three viewing mode of video album: large thumbnail (original), small thumbnail (16 videos on one page), and detailed list.
- Categorize videos into folders
- Move videos between phone memory and MMC
- Press "c" to delete video
- Single joystick press to play video
- Sound volume adjustment (up/down key) for playback
- Frame stepping (left/right key)
- Fast forward/rewind (press and hold left/right key)
- Player progress bar
- Player timestamp

We also plan to add the following features in the next release (free to registered users):

- MP4/3GP file support
- Full screen playback
- Playback contrast/brightness
- Night shot
- Digital zoom

How large is the application when installed? My 7650 doesnt have much space now, but if it's much smaller than the cam software from Nokia, i'll buy it

the nokia cam has a 400+kb if you looked at the application manager, the ETI has only 336kb.

Ok, i downloaded it, paid up and after a day or two got my registration code, however after entering the code the app works no differently, am i missing something? Or did i have the full app in the 1st place? The picture quality doesn't look as sharp as the beta, the features are great though.

Yes you had the full app in the 1st place. But it expires in a few days without the key. As for the pic quality, it is due to the fact that the display is stretched pretty heavily. In a couple of days I will release an update which allows selection of three zoom levels.

Dfdzgz, thank's for the advice, and the fab app! Can't wait for the zoom feature, even if it's only in playback. Like most 7650 owners i guess, i've been following the progress of this app and i'm so impressed by the way it's developed. Even in beta it was streets ahead of any other camcorder app. A hearty well done and thank's to all involved.

It wont let me download it how come?
