Carphone Warehouse have been known to be a little over too opitimistic when it comes to release dates.
What they seem to do is always assume a product will be available in the 1st month of the quarter it's supposed to be available.
For instance when Nokia announced the 6220 (series 40 camera phone) would be available in the 3rd quarter Carphone Warehouse said it would be available in July. But it wasn't. In fact, I don't think the 6220 is available yet.
They seem to be doing the same thing here. 6600 is supposed to be available in the 4th quarter. Since the 4th quarter starts in October they just assume and say the phone will be available in October.
