New: Pdf+ for the P800

Thanks to mBrainSoftware you can now read PDF files on your UIQ device. The software enables you to not only open the files, but zoom in and out, follow bookmarks, view in full screen, search files and more. The first public version is a beta.

I've used this software in earlier versions and I have to say its probably one of the most impressive pieces of mobile software I've ever used. The PDF viewer outstrips anything you'll find on any other mobile platform. Its great to se it arrive on UIQ.

More details from http://www.mbrainsoftware.com/UIQ/Pdf/Pdf.htm

With Pdf+ you can:
[list][*]display all the PDF files you have stored on your device. [*]display the text, line drawings and images on a PDF file.[*]view and follow bookmarks. [*]zoom in and out to maximize the amount of text and graphics you can read on the screen. [*]hide the lower status area to maximize use of the small screen.[*]search for strings in the text of the document. [*]display PDF files that were sent to you. [*]send a PDF file to anybody in the world, using E-mail, Infra-Red or Bluetooth.[/list:u]

malbry is on a distinguished road
I bought PDF+ and used it on my N9210. Unfortunately I found that it leaked memory so badly that I had to reboot each time after using the program. I soon got fed up with that and de-installed the program. I reported this to the author and he replied that he'd investigate, but I never heard back. I really hope the UIQ version has fixed this memory leak. If anyone tries the program, please check the before-and-after memory on your P800 and report back here.

Thanks,
Malcolm
