unusual problem with pc suite
The last time I used PC suite, my laptop entered in hibernation mode automatically, since the battery died. the phone was connected to the laptop through the serial port. Unfortunately since then I haven't been able to use it. Even though mRouter works fine, (the cell phone and the laptop are connected through the serial port), pc suite says the phone isn't connected. :( :( :( I can't even connect through infrared!!!!.
I've reinstalled pc suite and the BT software, but I can't make it go back to normal... I've even looked around the registry to find some key that might be messing around with the software, but no dice... I've had just about every existing problem with the bluetooth software but always managed to sort it out.... now I've tried everything and my last hope is the forum...
Since I'm still able to connect to my PC, this tells me that the problem isn't the phone. And since I can't connect using the infrareds as well, it tells me that it isn't a bluetooth problem.... But I've reinstalled everything... I don't know what that tells me =(((((((((((((
I suspect noone else has had this problem before, so I doubt I'll even get an answer, (maybe I'll get answer, but I doubt I'll get a solution...)
thanks in advance for any help.

TRY to:1)explore Mrouter, ensure that you have selected yours prefered connection(connection, which you are really using);2)reinstall PC suite,.

if you read the post and look at the picture attached you'll realise 1) is taken care of.
If you read the post you'll realise 2) is also taken care of.

Let me see...
Hello once again!
Previously I tried to reconnect my cousin's 7650 onto my Nokia 3650 PC Suite and it was detected but you can only import settings from other models.
Since then, whenever I use the PC Suite, it will no longer recognize my phone which I named Jayvee's N3650. I also have Nokia 3650 and Xav's7650.
I was able to delete "Jayvee's N3650" and "Xav's 7650" but not the Nokia 3650 which says that it is currently being used.
I think I went to SETTINGS or something and clicked on PHONE SETTINGS or something.
I will further check on this one and re-post.

just found the time to do what I thought of doing some time ago... I deleted every record in the registry involving my phone's imei.... unfortunately, it didn't work... I can't understand... I uninstall everything, but I can never have a "fresh" install... pc suite will always "know" my 3650 was previously connected to the computer... this sucks...

Why do you have to use pcsuite anyway? The only thing that it can do that normal way can't is to back up your phones memory. For sending files and pictures and the like all you have to click on send files to a nearby computer sign on the desktop or the infrared signal at the bottom on the takbar. If your infrared connects fine than this should be no problem. I have never ever used pcsuite. I'm connected via the serial port as well.

Is there any way of sending files directly to the memory card instead of the inbox without using pcsuite? I can't get pcsuite to detect my phone at all...

PC Suite also helps keeping your contacts/calendar in sync with your desktop contact/calendar application (assuming it is one that PC Suite supports, such as Outlook and whatnot).

no, that's not the only thing... I use pc suite to convert and send video and audio files directly to the mmc card, I send the java files directly to the installation directory, I synch my 3650 with outlook, I backup my contacts, I install software without needing to mess around with the phone, (just double clicking on the installation file) and I send my files (whichever type of files they are), to the exact folder I want them into. the only other way to do the last thing I mentioned is to search for the file in the mail directory and cut/paste it in the destination directory uing some file explorer...
I enjoy working with pc suite... too bad I can only continue to do that on my pc, and not on my laptop.
