Cross Border MMS Issues--Asia to USA or Europe to USA
Does anyone have any experience in sending MMS from Asia to USA or Europe to USA successfully. It seems that people in USA with the 3650 (using T-1 as their network operator--in New York City) cannot receive MMS (pictures in this case) from me on their phone. Insterad they have to go onto my operator's site (Orange in Hong Kong) using their PC and login with a password which came to them by SMS to view the pic I sent. Another experience I have had is a person in Montreal roaming from Orange Hong Kong had no problem sending or receiving pics and videos from me directly on their 3650. Does nayone else have similar good or bad sotries to share. I guess my point is that MMS will not become widely accepted or used unless operators across borders get their acts together. I think this would be an interesting discussion to have.

It seems that your problem is with the provider in New York (T1? T-Mobile?). Especially as the person roaming using Orange was able to send and receive MMS. I have had many inter China problems that are similar as the various network operators cannot seem to work together as well as they should so we could take full advantage of the MMS capabilities of the Series 60 phones. I am curious about if the same problems exist in Europe.
Well this is not exactly a cross-world problem or a cross-border problem. In Moscow here they have not sorted out the INNER network MMS sending. Heck the person you send the MMS to sometimes does not even get an SMS with a URL to where he can get the message on the web.
Still experimenting, but at least we now have 2 providers here that have GPRS, and all of a sudden both started working better (competition is great).

Yes....I understand your situation. Hong Kong was the same until a few months ago. Now you can send MMS to other networks within Hong Kong. Sending MMS outside of Hong Kong though as I said can be frustrating. This is too bad as MMS is a great feature to have.

Most operators do not support interoperator MMS traffic yet. In some countries they are starting to get it working within the country (e.g. Singapore). Though the big operators (Vodafone and Three) support MMS traffic between there international networks (e.g. you can send an MM from Three in the UK to Three in Italy).
