Newbie....need help on movies converting

Hi guys,anyone can link me a step by step guide to convert a movie from VCD to real media format that will plays on R1 player on 3650?i am a pure noob on this so i need a step by step guide,i believe i have all the tools that required to do the job...just need guide thanks

Basically take the .dat file and rename it .mpg then read it into realproducer plus.

bitrate = 80kpbs
20 fps
music 8kbps
