Poorly documented p800 features?

When I look at the software menu of the phone I see "Online Services" But when I tap it, I get a message "Online Services not available on this SIM"

Also, what is WIM?

you need a special 32K sim card for this operation to work. most providers give these sim cards these days with many addeded features built in...like checking your bill amount.. a telephone deirectory search service....jokes...ringtones/logos download.....hospital/police/hotel enquiries etc.

Online service is only available when your service provider programmed the same on your SIM card. Else, you got no online service.

WIM

WIM stands for WAP Identity Module and it's for special SIMs that can handle digital signatures - security feature used to access banking, credit card companies and so on to do secure transactions from a mobile phone.

I think Vodafone do have online services but you'd need to get your SIM enabled. I've got it on Orange.

Vodafone do have online services.
If you do not have them, it will be that you have an older SIM;
Vodafone will replace that for you maybe for free or maybe for the "official" price of around £35.

The list of functions is actually mostly stored phone numbers to go and get things like Scoot, or directory enquiries, so you are not missing anything stunning by not having them.
