not that black screen i see video fine. Im talkign about when i crop the video in helix u cant see the video and have no idea how much to crop i was asking how does he know or what does he use.
I'm not sure you need to do what Will suggested with a separate window playing it. I haven't actually tried it, but there is a tab called video filters and if you open that it shows you a still of the movie with cropping options. But like I say I haven't tried it yet.
In constantly changing my values for real producer and helix ive tried to find a combination that lets me watch an action movie on my phone without it looking liek total crap. I thought the quality was pretty poor. Then I saw the matrix reloaded trailer posted on this site. It looked so good on my phone for the fps that I must know how it was done. So, the question im asking is what is the best combo of values for encoding the real media format. Thanks
I've just got hold of HP Plus so have only been messing for a few days. But these settings give me around 5 minutes of movie for 3Mb (36Mb per hour) which may be quite high but I like the quality:
Audio Mode: Music
Video Mode: Normal Motion Video
Real 8 Codec (or the phone will not read it)
Size: 176x144
2-pass normally off (for speed)
Maintain ratio/High quality resize/High Quality audio resampling
Then I created a new audience template called 3650 with these settings:
For A/V encoding:
Constant bit rate: 80Kbps
Frames: 12 fps (This equates to roughly every other frame of video)
Voice codec: 16Kbps voice (G2, RA8)
Music: 16Kbps
For A/V encoding:
Constant bit rate: 80Kbps Frames: 12 fps (This equates to roughly every other frame of video)
Voice codec: 16Kbps voice (G2, RA8)
Music: 16Kbps
Just read that frame rate does not affect file size! If that's true then what am I doing down at 12fps???? Let's twist that dial up to 20!
