Vexed for Series60 released!

For those who do not know the meaning of stress, pain and violence... Vexed has now been released for the Series60 family of devices. Based on the new OPL alpha runtime, our Ewan has worked his socks off to bring stress to the lives of the average Series60 user. Head to the Vexed home site to get it. NOTE: Vexed is a game of skill and thought, and stress if you lack the first 2.

I tried installing both the OPL alpha and vexed beta on the MMC of my 3650, but I got the following:

- launch OPL: "Opl.opo Module does not e"
- launch Vexed: "App. closed Vexed KERN-EXEC 3"

I will try installing on phone memory, but ... just keep this as a "bug report"

the bug is probably in vexed itself, in fact I uninstalled it from MMC and reinstalled it on phone memory, and it works

Yes, this is because the C++ App Wrapper used to get round a runtime issue (it is alpha) needs to find a module on the C:. I'll edit the SIS for the moemnt. Thanks for the catch.

This is just great. A Puzznic clone without the sex. This was my no.1 fav app on arcades some years ago, forget about killer apps. This is an AMAZING game, brought to us by an amazing man. As Jyrik said.....bye bye sleep

RoYaL21,

Theres a new build of OPL (0.21) and Vexed (0.51) which might work now. Can you try and let me know if it works now?

Either I'm stupid :P or it doesn't even ask me to choose where to install; it went straight to phone memory without asking. Any1 else saw this behaviour? could this be because I had previous release on the phone? (but I uninstalled it and older OPL libs before installing the new ones)

p.s. I lost all the completed levels by uninstalling and then reinstalling

I should have been more precise: I installed newer OPL on MMC without problems; Vexed 'defaulted' to phone memory

Oh yes that's right ops: I set it up so there wouldn;t be any problems because I hadn't got enough people to test. There seems to be a problem wih non-English phones and installing via the PC Suite as well...

...which is all he fun of alpha runtimes and early apps! Please bear with me - for the moment though you'll need to sacrifice 98K of internal memory.

Just installed Vexed (OPL 021 & Vexed 051)

Apart form my e-mail dropping out while downloading, it installed to my MMC without problem and plays just fine.

As instructed I simply ignored the certificate messages.

Does this mean I'm really "one of the gang" now I can play Vexed.

That's OK, I agree with you it's the fun of being testing new things

I will tell more people with Italian language phones to try and install it
