Your hood in webcam?

Watching the Baghdad camera brought me thinking. I know a lot webcams around my neighbourhood - one of the best on Helsinki may be this one http://virtual.finland.fi/finfo/english/webcam.html As I'm not living in the city exactly but in a close by location, this http://personal.inet.fi/perhe/luukko/pk/index_e.htm is closer to my home. Finns seem to be excited by the webcams, as you can follow even a bird nesting in a finnish cam (if anyone is interested... I mean really...) http://personal.inet.fi/perhe/luukko/pk/index_e.htm

So how about it? Is this just a finnish peculiarity or are there webcams on your neighbourhood? Please share 8)

I thought Jordan would be easy. I found this link with dozens of webcams around Nottinghamshire, but they seemed to be dead outside office hours. Monday to Saturday from 7 am, take your pick: http://www.marbellalife.com/webcams/united-kingdom/nottinghamshire.html

Some further clicking revealed e.g. this one http://www.marbellalife.com/cgi-bin/webcam.cgi?c=C252&w=W0055 in Nottingham which was working however (also listed in Dazler's link). More info on Jordan's exact location would be helpful

Thanks Dazler, I tried to find the camera that would match you, but I didn't know your location. I did some background research and found several interesting sites on you and by you , but all I could find clearly mentioned was this one location in Ireland (you know what), and for that one I found no corresponding webcam

I've done it too, seached for myself I mean I found 2160 sites, but unfortunately (or fortunately ) they were not all on me but someone else with the same name. So it's a bit schizophrenic too

Wow, sorry for the slow reply, i'm being selective these days about what threads I venture into :-?

I don't think you will find any webcams in my exact location, it's a small village with a population of less than 100 , the nearest town has one in a PC shop overlooking the market place, it's called Retford, and the shop is called Softalk ...interested to see if you can find anymore
