Farewell to Nokia - feel free to share your thoughts!
:black:
I was very excited back in 1995 when I got my first Nokia - the 1611, and yours truly had finally joined the mobile revolution!!
When people started to make fun of my phone in public, I decided to go for the 6150 - what an superb phone for it's time. Battery life was good and so the looks. It was easy to use, because it had exactly the same menus as my 1611.
Then the big choice in 2000! Nokia released the Communicator and the 7110. The 9000 reminded me of my 1611 and I realised that I might get arrested at a night club if someone searched me and discovered it. So I got the 7110 - a WAP phone with a big screen!!
In 2001 it was a choice between the 8310 and the Erriccson T68 and the Nokia won again, because it had a FM radio, really tiny and easy to use.
And then Nokia and I got divorced! I laid my eyes on a phone with the features I've always wanted, but could never have with a Nokia phone - yep, I met the lovely (and elegant) Sony Ericcson P800 smartphone. ops:
It's sad - and I'll admit it, but the 'world of connectivity' demo video just blew me away. Never before did I thought it was possible to see moving pics on a mobile!! And what about the big screen? (I can safely say that I'm not bothered with a big(ger) mobile, because the functionality that comes with the phone and a larger screen, makes up for it very quickly - and that coming from a 8310 owner!)
So, it's safe to say I won't be marrying another Nokia anytime soon, which makes me kinda sad, because we've been married for almost eight years! But looking at Nokia's future phones, I just can't get excited about it anymore.
I'm pretty emotional right now and, before I start crying, I will say my final words : ''Farewell my lovely Nokia!''....*sniff*...*sniff*... Oh no, I'm crying now... I know it's pathetic and sad, but I just can't help it.. *sniff*

This nokia Vs SE thing is a little bit sad IMO, afterall with a Symbian phone they just produce the hardware, The Nokia 9210 and 7650/3650 are just as capable I think...the P800 has it's advantages on certain tasks (PDAish tasks) over the Series 60 phones....but i'm sure as hell missing my 7650 now i've got a P800, thinking about going for a 3650 soon.

Go for the p800 ghostdog. Or if you want to stick with series 60 wait for the siemens sx1. By the way, although my previous (6210) and present (7650) phones were nokia i don't have a good relation with nokia. I find panasonic more to my liking. Not the tech revolutionary phones but surely the most stable (no bugs). Just waiting to see their first symbian phone...

the 'world of connectivity' video could also be played on the 3650 right?

and the sound quality alot better then the 3650.....

I used both for now and tell you the truth .. the only thing missing in P800 are Application Software(which will building up in time) and The Joystick for games .... other than that I have to say P800 is the winner 8) but I still like 7650 and I wouldn't stop using it hehehe

Yes Marius, you can watch videos on the 3650,the sound will be only mono like you said. You can watch videos even on a 7650 with some small tweaks.
About the new Siemens and Samsung symbian phones.
They dont have bluetooth right?I'm so used to bluetooth and i think i will never buy a bluetoothless phone.

Then keep your 7650 for the photos and wait for the other. Or better go for the p800. I may buy the n-gage if the price is low (at least twice the price of a gb advance), but not to replace 7650.

I use Mr P800 as my main phone and my Nokia 8310 as a backup. Not sure I would want more than one phone at a time, but the 8310 might be called for active duty if we're going for a big piss-up on a Saturday night.
I so do not want to lose my best mobile ever!!!!!

And you are not the only one pal. After all it's the best choice, having a monster(technologically) phone and a simple for the main job in special circumstances...
