Sulake, best known for their Habbo Hotel online community for PCs, have now launched a new online community for S60 devices called Bobba. It's still in beta testing so there may be some bugs, but you can download the Bobba application free from the Bobba.com website, and there are no charges for using the service either (though of course you may have to pay data charges to your phone network). Bobba is compatible with all S60 3rd Edition and S60 2nd Edition devices, including all N-Gage-compatible phones.

What a pleasure that for once developers have got a clue, and release first on by far the most popular smartphone platform in the world (S60) while making users of a device (iPhone) that commands a grand total of 0.1% global handset market share, wait a little longer. A refreshing change from all the me-too chase-the-bandwagon developers who launch first on that far less popular device. 😉

Ajck, Sulake is a Finnish firm so they're well aware of S60. 😉

I think their ultimate aim is to cover all platforms, but they're making a start on S60. Java would probably be the one that reaches the widest number of phones of course...

Mkr10001, that's probably because it's a public beta that has only just started. They're still ironing out kinks in the actual software before launching it properly.
