Article N95 torch software available , is it

Hey im very sorry to bring this up again but the only reason is that threads and forums i've been looking were posted like 6 months ago so im after an up 2 date one ,

so i have download some n95 torch stuff

one called s60 spot on which dose the red light , not much at all
python which is a script runner , basically all in one light , it only dose strobe light

but im after one which is permenant ,
so you know you might be in the dark , drop your keys accidently on the field and then need a light to find tthem

so we should just be able to have one stay on for atleast 30 seconds.

Heh :-) I don't think that there are any hooks in the API for maximum illumination of the LED for anything longer than the normal flash. That thing has got to generate some serious heat at full power, probably burn it out after a minute or two of continuous use.

ok

so you think they are taking time simply because the light may heat or burn out ,

lol i don't want to risk that , maybe someone who is throwing phone away should .

Why not just slide the phone open? You've got at least a 2.6" screen there which fully illuminates. When I use mine as a torch like this it's really bright in dark rooms, even on the standby screen.

If you want to improve this further, you could show a bright image or a completely white image on the screen instead.

Because the software library that Nokia provides (i.e. the API) does not support it!
If you want a torch, I suggest you go to your nearest electronic store and buy either a little globe that you can put on your Nokia battery contacts, or get an actual torch, or take the other advice here and bring up a nearly white screen which is actually very affective to light up the area.
Regards

This means that it could not, would not, work on a boat, and will not, will not, work with a goat, Sam-I-Am.

Erm, rather, that there's simply no way of doing it. All the best will in the world won't allow you to do something that Nokia have not provided any way for you to do, most probably because the hardware doesn't support it in the first place.
