N86 Mail For Exchange issues after connecting via Data Cable

Hi Guys

I'm having an issue with Mail to Exchange on my N86, I've set it all up and configured it and it is fully working, the only issue I have is when I connect the phone in Mass Storage mode via the Data Cable Nokia provided.

On my home screen I see under my To Do's and Calendar Entries, Mail For Exchange and gives me my latest e-mail on screen and tells me how many unopened items I have in my Inbox

When I plug the data cable in and access Mass Storage mode the Disconnect, Mail for Exchange disappears

I then have to navigate to;

Tools>Settings>General>Personalization>Standby Mode> E-mail Notification, then my Mailbox will say "None", however if i browse into that option I see Mail for Exchange and if i select it, it will re-appear on my home screen

Is there any way of stopping this from happening as I frequently connect my phone is Mass Storage mode as much as 5-6 times a day

Thanks
Banshee

I think that when it connects under the mode you specified the home screen seems to switch to a default home screen - I noticed this due to my theme disapearing and the basic icon setup appearing on the shortcut bar. This would revert back once I had disconnected.

As to stopping it, I dont know it can be, looks like some effect of that USB mode. Sorry

Thanks for your reply

Yeah I was thinking along the same lines, I was wondering where Mail for Exchange accesses its memory, because when mass Storage mode is activated that memory becomes unusable to the phone

However this would not explain why it does not re-connect after Mass Storage mode is exited

Cheers
