The unlock codes are property of your operator. In order to get them you have to pay a fee.

Other ways of unlocking are illegal.

Like i said, the unlock codes are property of the operator who issued them,so unless you got them form the operator, its illegal.

The P900 on O2 is already UNLOCKED!

I'm on Orange and was going to upgrade to P900 on orange, but head of the O2 deal and went for that. Orange lock (& brand) their P900, but O2 only put software branding, but the phone is unlocked. I've tested my Orange sim & a friends Vodafone SIMs and they both work fine.

In case you don't know P900 on O2 is FREE if you take the O2 400 (45 pm) tarif as a new customer. This is only available at O2 retail shops and not on the web.

Mind you some O2 shops have sold out of them, but the deal is still on.

If you buy it directly from an O2 retail shop what's the minimum time before you can lower your tariff? Am asking as at Vodafone retail shops they used to (last time I tried a year and a half ago) price match any offline handset AND you only had to stay on that tariff for one month....does anyone know if Voda still do that?

what a load of tosh, free on o2 400 in an o2 shop. the p800 is still not free on that tariff with online mobile shops yet. You would never get it free on a 400 tariff in an o2 shop

pop over to my-symbian.com and you'll find aLOT of people who got P900 FREE on o2 400. I got mine on Wednesday (i.e. 2 days ago) and was told that is should be on until at least the end of the year, but could be until end of Jan, but that it was possible O2 could end it whenever.

The O2 shop I went to had sold a lot of P900's. he put it through the till and it comes up 299 and then puts in a marketing promotion discount and viola its then 0.00

I'm sorry ttpsm2 if you have just spent a bundle on getting yours, but its not tosh. You should feel sorry for a friend of mine who got a P800 on O2 a couple of weeks ago for 99 as they couldn't justify the extra 200, and now is envious (told them they could take their P800 back!)

Just called my local O2 shop, they're out of stock and won't be getting any more in but the larger stores in cities will still be getting units for the free at 45pcm promotion...
