Question 8GB Sandisk Locked Password required???

Hi, i recently bought an N95 after using a different phone. I had kept my 8GB SanDisk memory card, so put it in my new N95 and now it says it has a password on it and i cant use it! :-(

It doesnt have a little read / write protect switch on it, and im pretty sure using a SanDisk USB reader cant be used to switch an internal switch, as it is internal.

I didnt put a password on the Sandisk, so cant understand why it now requires one in my new N95.

Does anyone have any idea how i can retrieve the password, or crack the Sandisk so i can use it in my new phone, as it has some photos and stuff on that i wanted to keep :-(

Thanks for any help! :-)

Try formatting it using FAT32 file system.

Smile Format

Formatting like the posters above mention , deletes all data from the Card .
Remote Lock is a security option , set in : Menu > Instruments > Settings > General > Security > Phone + SIM > External/Remote Lock Code .
However this code is set for the overall device , it has also inpact on the MemoryCard . It will lock the phone when it recieves a SMS message with the Remote Code .
When this Code was never Set , there is no influence on the MC .

As a trial you could use Nokia default code : 12345 , or any other .

thanks for the help, but yes those processes will format the memory card and i really want to keep the data on there (home videos, music etc)

unfortunately 12345 doesnt work

if there could be any other solutions please post, can't think of anything

i'm sure the certain police departments must have programs to access password protected memory cards maybe i could try trace of of those

again thanks for the suggestions and any more help on this would be really appreciated

Smile PUK code

Ask your provider for the PUK code . Maybe that is interfering . However I am not sure .
Like to hear your findings though .
