P1i torch? Turn on light?

Hi, the only way I've found to turn the light on the back of the Pi1 on, is to go in to camera mode, turn on flash and hold down the camera button half way.

There must be some way to turn the light on without having to hold down the button?

Any ideas? Any applications out there to turn the light on and off? Any way of writing an application to do that?

Many thanks.

Yeah i feel your pain too - got too used to the light on my k750 then found a hack for a light on the replacment k800 but i think we'll just have to wait for someone to write a torch application for the p1...

UIQ torch is out

A program called torch has the functionality you want and it works perfectly.
