7610 Keypad - very odd problem

I took my 7610 camping with me, and it worked brilliantly until one night it rained and the phone got slightly damp. Still working perfectly however. I realised a few days later that the 6 button was no longer working!

Other buttons also intermittantly stopped working and this was solved by hitting the phone on a hard surface. The 6 button however, is refusing to work.

Is there something I can do, possibly to try and remove the moisture or just replace the keypad? Is that do-able?

Dismantle the phone and let it to dry itself. Hopefully the keyboard controller was not damaged.
