No more Skype for Anna?

Hello,

I have an N8 and a C7 both with Anna and now cannot find Skype for either. It doesn't exist in the Nokia Store anymore, and when you go to Skype and have them sms you a link to get the program for Symbian, you get a web page that says Skype is not available for this device.

It also seems to have disappeared from my devices. it just isn't anywhere to be found. I used it to talk to my wife in Europe (from Canada) a few weeks ago.

Is it just me? I've seen nothing else anywhere about this. I thought I'd bring it up here first and see what's going on with other Anna users.

Yep I agree that it's been removed from Nokia Store. Not only that but if I go to skype.com/m from my N8 I get the message:

SKYPE ISN'T AVAILABLE FOR YOUR DEVICE

Which is strange/confusing when you see this page:

how can they remove the app from your phone?
I'll check my wife's E7, it better still be there, she will need to on our trip to Europe.
Microsoft suck and has ruined Nokia.

I don't think they would remove the app from your phone, they certainly haven't removed it from mine and Skype is still working nicely on my N8.

Agreed it sounded wierd - I knew I did a navifirm reinstall on my wife's N8 but I also recall now (forgot before) that I did a hard reset on my C7 a week or two ago. So that's good.

But still, no notice, nothing in the web, no news? And this is a microsoft product? I think I read that MS is designing a skype app for WP but what about Symbian? I'll have to use Fring like I did on my E71 for years. It uses my Skype account anyway...

Good Afternoon

Skype working on my N8. At least the "echo test" worked.

Yes, I would like the .sis. I'm new here. How can I get it?

I should ask how big it is. How to get it would depend on the size I guess.

Yep, I can confirm that Skype is back.

The N8 on Anna version is here:

http://store.ovi.com/content/20924?c...=search&pos=1#

I think it was taken down while separate versions were made available for Anna and Belle.

[Edit]
Sorry wangsuda, I just realised that my link is exactly the same as yours.

[Further edit]
When I ran Nokia Store on my N8 I saw two versions of Skype, there's version 2.0.5 and version 2.4.5. I'm going to install the latter now.
